BEYBLADE X: XONE – Speed, Chaos, and the Battles that hurt

Let me start by saying, I didn’t expect BEYBLADE X: XONE to stress me out. I was chasing nostalgia and remembering my childhood, spinning tops smashing into each other with ridiculous force, flashy stadium mechanics, and that competitive edge that makes you lean forward in your chair.

What I found was a game that delivers adrenaline in bursts… but also one that can quietly grind your patience down if you’re not ready for it.

A Fast, Faithful Take on Beyblade Combat

Beyblade X: XONE brings both single-player and multiplayer battles to the franchise.

Customisation is a huge part of the experience, letting players tweak their Beyblades before entering stadium fights built around the aggressive “X Dash” mechanic and action-heavy arenas.

The result is that matches feel explosive, sometimes over in seconds. Sometimes absolute chaos. And honestly, that unpredictability is where the magic lives.

But it’s also where frustration starts creeping in.

When the Speed Stops Feeling Fun

Early on, I loved how aggressive the battles were. There’s a kinetic energy here that older Beyblade games never quite captured.

Then I started noticing something the Wins didn’t always feel earned and the losses didn’t always feel fair. Some fights ended so quickly that strategy barely had time to matter.

This isn’t just my experience either, many long-time fans say the modern X system pushes attack-heavy gameplay so hard that balance can become a concern. If you enjoy controlled, tactical matches, prepare for a learning curve. If you enjoy chaos? Then you might call this peak Beyblade.

The Main Issues I Ran Into (And How I Fixed Them)

After a few rough sessions, I did what every frustrated gamer does, I went digging through forums.

Turns out, I wasn’t alone. Here’s what kept coming up, along with what actually helped me.

Battles Feel Too Random

I was worried that the meta may swing too far toward aggressive builds, potentially making one style overly dominant.

Fix that helped me: Spend time experimenting with parts instead of chasing raw attack power. I found that balanced builds dramatically improved my win consistency.

Parts and Unlockables Can Feel Restrictive

For me I found that some useful parts are locked behind randomised systems or expensive boosters.

My workaround: Stop chasing “perfect” gear early. Learn positioning and timing first, skill closes more gaps than you think.

Finding Opponents Isn’t Always Easy

For some reason there were many times that I was struggling to find local scenes or active communities.

What I recommend: Lean into online battles and community groups. Once I started engaging with other players, the game immediately felt more alive. This will make your gaming experience alot better.

Performance Issues in Related Beyblade Apps

Using the Beyblade apps I have had my fair share of  lag, crashes, and matchmaking problems.

While my XONE experience was mostly stable, it’s a reminder to:

  • Keep the game updated
  • Restart after long sessions
  • Check your connection before competitive play

Basic advice I know, but it saved me headaches.

One Important Limitation You Should Know

Despite supporting multiplayer, cross-platform battles between Switch and Steam are not available.

This is not a dealbreaker, but definitely disappointing in 2024-era multiplayer gaming.

Beyblade X: XONE understands something many arena battlers forget. Speed is excitement, but speed without control is tension. When your build clicks and your launch timing is perfect, the stadium erupts into controlled chaos that feels incredible. But the same intensity can be brutally unforgiving, with small mistakes costing you everything.

Still, beneath the frustration is a competitive loop that keeps pulling you back for “just one more match.” If you grew up with Beyblade, this is an easy recommendation. If you’re new, expect a learning curve… and maybe a few emotional meltdowns along the way.
